Biography
Psycostasia were born officially in the late 2004 spring from an idea of Vincenzo (guitar), Andrea (guitar) and Luca (vocals).
They came from different garage bands and wanted to form a serious and determined thrash metal band. With Enrico (drums) and Alberto (bass) the line-up was complete and the band began to play some cover songs of 80´s bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth and at the same time began to write the first original songs. In the same autumn Psycostasia recorded a cover demo cd which contained the cover played until that moment.
All seemed to be perfect but in the 2005 spring the problems began.
Alberto left the band on March due to personal motifs and Davide "John" Ranghetti replaced him in August but on December Enrico was forced to left the band because he didn’t put in the band the adequate determination, so the band remained without a rhythm engine for about 8 months.
At the end of this period, when all the members were very worried about the destiny of Psycostasia, Luca "Panzer Division Seco" Secomandi joined the band, it was on August 2006, bringing new life and new power to the band.
With this line-up, after a couple of powerful gig, the band began to compose new songs and in the 2007 summer the recording of the demo-cd began but Luca Manara must leave the band due to personal and musical motifs so Psycostasia must stop (again!) their work to looking for a new singer.
After a couple of months Andrea decided to sing and play and finally the band can restart another time, now Psycostasia are just 4 members but they are ready to kick some fuckin' asses again!
So after few months, useful to let Andrea learn some singing techinques and to write new lyrics and vocal lines, the recordings recommence and in the March of 2008 the first original demo is finally out. The title selected for this work is "Involution" based on the psychological and social topics of the lyrics.
After the release of "Involution" and after the first reviews, some of them are very positive (and some are international) Seco has problem with a knee (and he has to be operated) e and John decides to leave the band due to musical and personal motifs, so Andrea takes his place and leaves the guitar playing for the bass.
I'ts time for a new forced break but Psycostasia still continue their work for the new songs and still continue to look for a label.
